Uffizi Gallery ... WOW ....

Spent the whole day at the Uffizi Gallery that them Medici's built/lived in and created the Renaissance .... the art is endless ... amazing artists/art on display in the wonderful place the Medici's and their friends lived and celebrated life as they knew it and they new it pretty well ..... as usual can't show you anything inside ... you have to go to the website to see the museum .... http://www.uffizi.com/ .... got one of the "audio" things to really learn what all I was seeing .... with all the art on display a really good idea ..... great day ... great art ... still more to see ....

Took a break to have some tea/coffee/snacks in the cafe off the Loggia della Signoria Terrace overlooking the Duomo and the Plaza below where the Royalty would summon family/friends to enjoy music in better weather than the snow we have now ...


Snow from last night .... and it's cold ... in the 30's ... one might call it "crisp" .... bundle up and get out there ! ! !


Snow on them statue guys in the Neptune fountain ... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! ! !


All stores very creative with their shops and window ... this shop is called "DO DO" ... as in the bird ... the green things are long tube things not unlike pasta ..... the jewelry is on a pedestal fountain thing ... anything to draw you in and spend money you don't have ... boy there's lots of them shops around ....
