You walk along and sometimes you can see into the wonderful "courtyards" that are inside the big outside doors ... all are different and all the amazing "iron work" as well ... can only imagine who is lucky enough to live in such a place ....
Part of what I see and is hard to photograph or describe is the "patina" of the buildings that are 1,000's of years old ... and full of the most beautiful stores ... this place is an "Illummi" or light store ...
Ya want to rent an apartment ... one of many places in Florence ... the rent is cheapo .... ya could live here well ... not right now with the american dollar in the toilet ... but maybe later ...
This place is only two blocks away ... just down a street I had not gone down before ... it's mexican food ... I'm going there ..
how cool that someone has a mexican place for scott to enjoy a taco or two and a cerveza .... grazie ! !
OK .. this is typical of wandering again ... we took a street we hadn't gone down .. and found this wonderful toy store and wouldnt' ya know it ... there's little "barbie" with her accordion just waiting for scott .... store closed .. going back to get this ... for you who don't know ... scott was raised on the accordion ... whata hear "lady of spain" ... OK .. another thing .. they don't make 'left handed' accordions ... just in case you weren't paying attention to the visual ....
