Went to the Pitti Palace on the other side of the Arno river ... the Medici's were on one side and the Pitti's were on the other side and they did not get along ... so they were always trying to "outdo" each other with art/palace's, etc..... so visited the Pitti Palace ... it's an imposing building and wonderful Boboli Gardens ... but forget about going thru the Palace .. go to the Uffizi on the other side that the Medici's had with all their amazing artworks .... of course this is just my opinion ... you may like this stuff at the Pitti Palace ... and as I always say ... this is just my blah,blah,blah ............................ enjoy the pic's inspite of myself .... you may ask where are the pic's of the Pitti Palace .. you cannot take any pic's in any museum in Florence ... so go and google it to have a look or better yet .. fly over and see for yourself .....
These are what you would call "big doors" at the Pitti Palace ... that be little lana standing at the doors ....
This would be the guy who has been taking all the pictures and never gets into one .... well here he is in his funny shoes ...the Italians love them ... they can't resist looking .... fun .....
Another wonderful marble 'letter drop' ... just magical ....
Frescoed ceilings .. these are everywhere ... beautiful ....
